One of our favorite bars are these Peanut Butter M&M bars. When we made these last week two of the children remarked that they were their favorite bars and why don’t we make then more often? Yes, I would enjoy eating them every week too but I think they are quite rich so we only make them occasionally for a treat.
Peanut Butter M&M Bars
1 1/2 cup oatmeal 1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar 1 cup M&M
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup peanuts
1 1/4 cups softened margarine
Mix oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, salt, and peanuts with margarine. Press into a 9″x13″ pan, reserving 1 cup for topping. Bake crust for 12 minutes at 350. Meanwhile mix sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter. Spread over crust and top with M&M’s and 1/2 cup peanuts. Drop remaining crumbs over top. Bake 20 minutes more.
