Do you ever have a day where you didn’t plan ahead and you wondered what you would make for supper? Or you arrived home and realized that you only have 30 minutes to get a meal on the table? Then this is the recipe you need. A very simple one pan meal of sausage and rice.
Simple sausage and rice
1 lb. loose sausage (seasoned is the best)
1 cup rice
1 cup water
cheese for the top
In a large frying pan fry sausage. When fried add rice and water. Cover pan and let simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is soft. Layer cheese over top. When cheese is melted, stir it in and serve.
We like to serve this with corn from the freezer and apple sauce. A very simple and delicious meal.
