We all want to coupon, make lovely crafts, and have a perfectly organized house. But can we accomplish all that all the time? We feel like we should be able to since all these blogging ladies can, right?
A lot of you moms may have quite a few preschoolers and struggle just to get the laundry done and have a difficult time keeping your house presentable without doing all kinds of other things. You may struggle with the fact that everyone else can do these things so why can’t you?
I remember what it was like to have 8 children that were 12 and under. Five of those were preschoolers and I had 3 babies under the age of 1! At that stage of my life, we just were happy to get through the day with everyone fed. Diapers were a permanent decoration and babies were everywhere. Then the nights…..let’s just say that sometimes I saw every hour and wondered if I got any sleep.
In those days we had no time to coupon. ( I had someone keep the twins each week so I could run get groceries since I wasn’t very good at carrying 3 babies.) We barely knew what doing crafts was. And keeping a perfectly organized house meant putting all the diapers in the garbage and keeping the frig fit to eat out of.
So you see, some of you are in the stage of life where you are a very busy mother, or a home school mom, or taking care of elderly parents. Remember that in whatever stage God has placed you in, He will give you the grace for whatever you face.
As you read my blog I don’t want any of you to feel that these bloggers have everything made in the shade. Yes, I now have more time to do the things that I always wished I could do. I can cook fancier meals (don’t ask what our menus consisted of 10 years ago!) and it is much easier to keep the house organized without 3 toddlers running around. And the crafts, I forgot how much fun it was to do them. And now I have girls that love to help do them too.
Many days my house is very disorganized and does not look like Pinterest pictures or Martha Steward’s house but we still have fun and enjoy life.
So enjoy the years with all your little people. The time goes by so fast and we look back and wonder why we didn’t enjoy it more. (Maybe it was because of the sleepless nights and all the work! ) Some day you will have your last 2 year old and you will miss that stage.
No matter what stage of life you are in, enjoy each day. Maybe each day write down just one thing you are thankful for. And just remember that this stage too will pass.

So so true Michelle! We all have our seasons when we can do more or less. I find it interesting that people seem to think I haven’t THAT much to do in my stage of life (everyone off to school or work during the day) but in reality, my help is less, the laundry piles are taller and the food gets consumed in greater quantities. =) And it’s the season when couples are also often expected to participate more in church related committees and functions because we don’t have little ones.
In every stage of life, one is busy. I learned that by watching my mom! So wherever you are, whatever you do, do it with JOY for God.

Yes, it seems no matter what stage of life we are in, we are busy. God always makes sure we won’t be bored!
