One of our favorite items when packing lunches is fruit slush. For many years I wondered why our children did not care for fruit slush. Then I realized that none of us liked the bananas that are usually in fruit slush. So I made my own recipe and I am always sure to hear when it runs out.
We like to freeze it in small disposable containers ( although we do reuse them) so they are easy to pop into a lunch. It is also great to use for a picnic when frozen in bulk as it helps to keep the cooler cool.
Fruit Slush
3 quart diced peaches (with juice)
2 cans crushed or diced pineapple
2 pounds grapes
1 can orange juice concentrate
Mix altogether and put in containers to freeze. Put in more or less of each kind of fruit according to how you like it.
