Do you enjoy watching butterflies and birds? Then you need to plant just two different kinds of flowers and you will attract lots of birds and butterflies.

The first flower every one should plant is the zinnia. I usually just seed mine directly in the soil where I want them but you could also buy them at the greenhouse. They are loved by the butterflies and also make beautiful flower arrangements.

The other flower you need to have is the sunflower. Not the big sunflowers but the ones that are smaller and one stem gives lots of flowers. Seed them once and then every year afterward they will come up from the dropped seeds. If you leave these flowers stand into the winter the birds will continue to feed on them all winter.

So you don’t need to plant lots of flowers, just two different kinds and I promise that you will have lots of butterflies and birds to enjoy.
