Most all of us have laundry to do. Sometimes there are large piles. So that means we all spend some money on laundry detergent.
Maybe you have one kind of detergent you like and you buy that no matter what the price. I like certain kinds better than others but I still will not pay more than a few dollars per bottle.
My favorite way of getting detergent cheap is to use coupons. When I see a coupon for one of my favorite kinds I always clip it or print it. Then I watch for sales and use a coupon with the sales. Better yet when Giant has a clip able coupon I add my coupon and the detergent is usually $2.00 or less.
My favorite detergent for towels is homemade laundry soap. This powdered Laundry soap is simple to make and works great. Probably the most cost efficient soap you can use.
Another way to save on detergent is one way we usually don’t think about. Just recently I was reading on the back of the bottle and I was surprised at how little detergent I was to be using. The stuff is more concentrated now and I was just dumping the same amount in the washer as I always did. So now my detergent should last a while longer since I am using less. Go check on your directions and see if you are using the correct amount of detergent. Maybe you can use less and save more.
So how do you save on laundry detergent? Do you make your children rewear their clothes when they only had them on for a few hours? That too could save on laundry detergent if you would have less clothes to wash. We will always have laundry so why don’t we try to to save on laundry detergent?
