In 25 years of marriage I have had a lot of different clothes pin bags. The last few years I have loved having a durable denim clothes pin bag that can be made in 5 minutes.
You will need a pair of denim shorts and a heavy plastic coat hanger. I have used regular plastic hangers but you will need to replace them more often as they tend to break easily. As for the pair of shorts, just pick one up at a thrift store if you don’t have one.
First take the pair of shorts and sew a 3 inch seam from the edge and 1/4 inch from the top. Do that on both sides as this will keep your shorts on the hanger. You can make your seam shorter or longer depending on the size of your shorts.
Then go to the pants legs and sew them shut.
This pin bag could also be sewn from a pair of pants that you cut the legs off. Then it would take you longer then 5 minutes.
The pockets on the shorts are very handy to stick in broken pins that you want to fix later.
These denim clothes pin bags are very durable and will last a long time. What do you use to put your pins in?
