We are really enjoying fresh picked strawberries from our garden. We really missed the strawberries last year as we were gone on our trip to Alaska and missed them all. We have enjoyed strawberry shortcake and several pies. So tonight it was subs and strawberry pie. It is one of the simplest pies to make. I just mix strawberries with sugar and a little water. Then I add instant clear jel and stir it in. Once it starts to get thick I refrigerate it for awhile and then it is perfect to dump into a baked pie shell. Just add some whipped cream and enjoy!
